For a time I lived, for many years, in another river city; Newport News, which is located on the Lower Peninsula; the Hampton Roads area.

The area is vibrant with musicians and artists that continues to astound me with their talents, their warmth, and graciousness.

This interview is with Mr. Jacques Jones, renowned bass player who, for many years, hosted an informal event where many musicians would join in a jam session held around Christmas at the home of Mr. Jones.
