Neck Tales: Stories from Virginia's Northern Neck by Thea Marshall

Neck Tales
I am a fan of Thea Marshall. Thea and I were once colleagues at the public media broadcasting corporation based in Richmond, VA. She was the host of a program called “Neck Tales,” stories about The Northern Neck. To me, Thea was the tough New Yorker, a smile on her face while asking direct, unvarnished questions. My kind of woman…plus she was sharp with the jokes and a snappy dresser! Thea was living in the Weems/Irvington area for over 26 years when I met her somewhere around 2008-2009…and I teased her by saying “You are still a come-here!”  We became friends, and I, a fan. “Neck Tales” is about Thea’s loves, journalism and her new home. This space is reserved with a placeholder that is a copy of the cover of Thea Marshall’s book, “Neck Tales,” with the hope that one day we can all listen to the rebroadcast of the show “Neck Tales,” stories of Thea’s home on The Northern Neck, the place I, too, call home. Fingers crossed.
