Victor L. Wooten is one of five extraordinary brothers who once lived in the Warwick Lawns neighborhood of Denbigh in Newport News, VA. They have all achieved great successes as a family unit, and within their own solo careers.
Victor, the youngest, is winner of five Grammys, and founder and teacher at Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature.
Victor is also considered one of the world’s best bass players, an accomplished songwriter, composer, and record producer.
He has been the bassist for Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, along with his brother Roy aka “Futureman,” since the group’s formation in 1988. Victor is also member of the band SMV with two other bassists, Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller.
It is my honor to present to you, Mr. Victor L. Wooten.
